The Garnet Wine Club in collaboration with Helgate Pottery brings you a blind wine tasting event hosted by Paul Francis Bryan
Saturday 5th September from 6-8pm.
Join us for a two-hour journey into the world of blind tasting, where the usual clues are taken away and the wine gets to speak for itself.
All the wines will be made using Amphora. Amphorae are ancient clay or earthenware jars used for fermenting, aging, and storing wine. Dating back over 8,000 years to regions like modern-day Georgia (where they are called qvevri) and Portugal (known as talhas), these vessels are seeing a major modern revival in natural and low-intervention winemaking
Blind tasting is a wonderfully revealing way to get to know wine on its own terms. Most importantly, it’s a chance to experience just how diverse, fascinating and full of character wine can be — with an open mind, a curious palate and no preconceptions.
The boring bit…
